I’m Louise,
Mothers are at the centre of my care. I have developed a sincere trust and belief in mothers and their need to do their best for their babies. I promise to do my best for them.
I have over 30 years of midwifery practice and my revalidation was in 2020.
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), re-examined in 2018.
I trained and have been practicing as a tongue-tie practitioner since 2012.
I am registered with the Care Quality Commissioner to perform tongue tie.
My background; I was an Infant Feeding Advisor for over 7 years in a large Teaching Hospital and built up a team to support mothers and babies in the hospital and the community setting. I completed the UNICEF ‘Baby Friendly’ courses and led training days for all levels of staff. I implemented a robust and thriving tongue tie division service. Other training includes; Examination of the Newborn, Mentorship for Midwives, and Aromatherapy for pregnancy and postpartum.
I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance with Hiscox Insurance Company.
I have an annual Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
I continue to remain up to date investing in relevant learning and mandatory training.
